About Steven

I'm a part-time tutor specializing in English, and I also teach elementary math for students from K-4 grade. I'm bilingual in English and Mandarin, so I can support students in either language.

I'm also a proud parent of an 11-year-old daughter. Some of our favorite activities together are reading books and playing chess. As both a tutor and a parent, I understand the importance of patience, encouragement, and making learning enjoyable. My goal is to help students build confidence, develop strong foundational skills, and discover the joy of learning.

About the lesson

I'm an English tutor who also teaches math to students from kindergarten through 4th grade. I genuinely enjoy teaching and understand that every child learns differently. I believe the key to effective teaching is patience, encouragement, and finding the right approach to help each student understand and build confidence in their abilities.

I believe that when a child struggles to understand something, it's the teacher's responsibility to adjust their approach, find a different way to explain the concept better, and help the child learn at their own pace.
