Painter with 18 years of experience gives drawing and painting lessons in Brooklyn NYC

Ali is one of the greatest art teachers I’ve ever had, even better than some top schools in New York City like SVA which I went to! Who asks you to pay fortunes then you end up with so much depth that makes you cripple even thinking about continuing your carrier as an artist. He never put limits on the passion You have and encourage you to take risks to overcome your fear in painting. Ali admires the way you like to practiceing your art And make a comfortable environment for You to find your true art language.

Ali is definitely the best art teacher I’ve ever had. He is able to help you develop your own artistic language rather than just teaching you how to draw different objects.

Ali is an exceptional instructor! I found his approach in teaching drawing effective, and different from anything I’d previously experienced. He didn’t intimidate the students about creating a perfect drawing. Instead, he emphasized understanding the weight and essence of things hidden within what you’re drawing. I loved his drawing course so much that I signed up a second time. I cannot stress enough how his method transformed my way of looking at things and improved my drawings. Not only is he clear and patient in his instructions but also he’s incredibly knowledgeable in art history, which allows you to see your work in a broader sense outside of the classroom setting. I highly recommend artists of all levels to sign up for his class!

I’ve heard people say that you can teach someone technique, but you can’t teach them how to be an artist. Ali Chitsaz is the only teacher I’ve had that does both brilliantly!
