Umer tutored my son for 7+ exams for about a year. I would like to describe his approach in 3 areas:
1- Persona / Problem / Opportunity Identification: In that phase Umer analysed how is my son as a persona and tried to understand how he can create a fun environment where he can learn maths. While doing that he also found out his potential strengths and weaknesses and design the roadmap accordingly.
2- Adaptive Tutoring Roadmap: To reach the results and making a fun and enjoyable experience at the same time, he constantly adapt his teaching style accordingly. Once he faced with a bottleneck, he overcame it with the most favourable solution. And in our case, he managed that when things were constantly changing with the COVID. I think he has this skill because he is not only teaching but always monitoring his students' behaviours so he knows how to identify potential bottlenecks earlier and how to overcome them by using the adequate techniques.
3- Results: Our main goal was providing our son a fun learning environment and we achieved it with Umer, plus our son got offer with couple of offers from the schools that he sit exams for entry.

We have had two very positive experiences with Umer, firstly a year ago when he prepared my younger son with the 16+ entry assessment exams at a prestigious West London Independent School and then with my older son who required an A* in A-Level Further Maths to satisfy the conditional offer to study Mathematics at a top London University. With Further Maths, Umer adopted a very structured and yet tailored approach that suited my son’s very individual needs. He was able to explain complex topics clearly and the hand pick homework questions provided just the right amount of challenge to test his understanding and this enabled him to learn the topics very quickly with the syllabus being fully covered months before he was due to sit his exams. My son benefited from the concise notes that Umer would write when explaining new concepts which helped improve his understanding and served as an aide memoir during the crucial revision period. With Umer’s help both sons are more organised with their studies and revision as they now realise the benefits of working smarter and not harder. Umer helped our son with Chemistry, Physics and Maths at GCSE level. He really is incredibly knowledgeable and it is plain to see his passion for these subjects. His approach was methodical and tailored to our sons needs. There was a significant improvement in test results across all of these subjects. Fantastic tutor. Pinpoints the students weaknesses early on and tailors lessons to suit whatever needs the students want. Also brilliant with IT and makes sure the student has access to all the criteria covered in the lessons as well. Lessons are focused and Umer is approachable with any questions or worries throughout. Thoroughly enjoyable ‘experience’.

Umer is an outstanding tutor who goes the extra mile for his students. He is genuinely interested in getting the best from his students and very quickly identifies where in the subject the student needs help and concentrates on that using questions, sample paper questions, preset work for next lesson etc. He is friendly, super organised and a gifted mathematician. Umer provided much more than a safety net for GCSE and A Level studies. He is thorough, knowledgeable and identifies gaps within a short timeframe and then develops a plan to address the gaps. Umer tutored me throughout my A Levels, he is excellent at adapting his teaching to and individual style of learning. He is very patient, and has an understanding approach. Umer was one of the best tutors I’ve had, after trying a range of tutors. He always tried to find time to tutor and help me, even outside the lesson. His maths knowledge tends to infinity as well as chemistry and physics. I was very blessed, as a Hamptonian, to find him.

We requested Umer's support for the final 12 weeks leading to St. Paul's, Latymer's and LEH 11+ exams in January 2020.
