About Claire

I bring a strong mix of teaching experience, proven academic success, and real research training to every tutoring session. I graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Biology and Chemistry. I have tutored students in college-level science courses, served as a teaching assistant, and worked as an organic chemistry researcher with published research and conference presentations. These experiences allow me to teach with clarity, accuracy, and confidence. Students can count on me for reliable content knowledge, a supportive teaching style, and excellent communication. I take pride in making complicated material feel approachable and helping students build real mastery instead of relying on memorization. I am patient, professional, and dedicated to helping every student reach their goals, whether that means improving grades, preparing for exams, or gaining a deeper understanding of organic chemistry. You can feel confident that you are learning from someone who understands the subject deeply, has taught it successfully, and knows how to explain it in a way that fits your learning style.

About the lesson

My Tutoring Approach:
--> I teach organic chemistry in a way that actually makes sense. My goal is to take the messy, overwhelming parts of orgo and turn them into clear, simple ideas you can recognize on exams and use with confidence.

How I Teach:
--> I explain concepts using real examples, visuals, and step by step breakdowns instead of memorizing pages of notes. I use what I learned from tutoring, TA work, and hands on lab experience to show you how reactions work in real life, not just in your textbook. I want you to understand the why behind every mechanism so you can solve problems on your own.

What a Typical Lesson Looks Like:
-->You can expect a detailed, custom lesson built around whatever concepts you are struggling with. I create a personalized PowerPoint style mini lecture tailored to your course so we can restate, refine, and clarify every part of the material. We work through practice problems together, talk through mistakes, and take plenty of time for questions until everything clicks. I also help with homework questions, problem sets, lab reports, and exam prep. If you have a test coming up, I make specialized study guides and run focused review sessions designed around how your professor writes exams.

What Sets Me Apart
-->I have real teaching experience, a strong lab background, and a knack for breaking down confusing topics in a way that feels simple. I keep lessons relaxed, supportive, and easy to follow. No judgment, no rushed explanations. Just clear help that is actually useful.
