About Maya
Having worked in a range of English-teaching posts over the past two years, I would be greatly delighted to be your personal tutor!
Originating from the UK, I studied for my bachelor’s degree in French and Linguistics at the University of Sheffield, in which I was awarded a 2:1, with distinction. Throughout my studies there I gained many skills and developed my interest in teaching, specialising in TESOL, Phonology and Syntax in my final year. My Erasmus year abroad gifted me with my first teaching experience as an English Language Assistant at a high school near Bordeaux in France.
Since graduating over two years ago, I moved to France to pursue my dream of teaching. For the first two years I taught at University level at the Université du Maine, I am currently teaching at FFSA Academy, a private academy teaching young french F1 hopefuls. I have also recently passed my TEFL qualification, with a specialisation in online teaching.

My teaching method is flexible according to what my students require of me. I have worked in a range of settings, from formal classroom structure, to informal conversational classes. I think the student's needs are paramount so would determine a structure with the student beforehand, and would teach accordingly.
