About Emma
Achieving deep conceptual clarity remains the primary outcome for every student. Mastering complex systems requires a methodical approach that breaks down intricate processes into manageable pieces. I guide college freshmen and homeschoolers through the nuances of lab report writing and biological drawing to ensure their work meets high institutional standards. We start by establishing a clear understanding of fundamental principles.
This enables you to approach evolution and natural selection with much greater ease. I provide weekly practice questions with feedback to track your progress throughout our time together. Our sessions are built upon the rigorous training I received during medical school.
My goal is to ensure you feel supported as you refine your study techniques. We will revisit difficult topics until you feel entirely comfortable with the material. This ensures that you develop the skills necessary to handle any future academic challenge.

Completing my Doctor of Medicine at UC San Francisco School of Medicine was only the start of my commitment to clinical education. It feels natural to share the knowledge I gathered while training to become a physician with those who are just beginning their own academic paths.
Having taught 57 students during my 2 years of experience, I recognize that biology can often feel like a massive volume of unrelated facts. I work frequently with GCSE students, A-level candidates, and high school learners who need someone to frame the nervous system and cell biology in a way that makes logical sense. My personal narrative as an underrepresented minority advocate drives me to provide high-quality support to those who might otherwise struggle to find a mentor.
I enjoy the moment when a student finally connects the scientific method to real-world natural selection outcomes. Helping individuals clarify their understanding of homeostasis or immunology basics is genuinely rewarding work for me. I prioritize patience while ensuring that my students feel supported through every step of their academic journey.
