About Shahram
As an NYU Abu Dhabi graduate with a strong background in mathematics and analytical problem-solving, I bring both academic excellence and professionalism to every lesson. I achieved an A* in A-Level Mathematics and have continued applying mathematical thinking throughout my university studies in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics.
I am committed to creating a supportive, reliable, and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process. I understand the importance of patience, consistency, and clear communication when helping students improve their confidence and performance.
My goal is not only to help students achieve strong academic results, but also to help them develop long-term problem-solving skills and a more positive relationship with mathematics.

My teaching approach focuses on understanding concepts rather than memorizing formulas. I break down difficult topics into simple steps, explain the intuition behind methods, and adapt lessons to each student’s learning style and pace. I believe students improve the most when they feel comfortable asking questions and actively working through problems themselves.
A typical lesson usually begins with reviewing key concepts and identifying areas the student finds challenging. We then work through guided examples together before practicing exam-style questions independently. I also like to share shortcuts, problem-solving strategies, and techniques that helped me succeed academically.
What sets me apart is my ability to explain mathematical ideas in a practical and approachable way, especially for students who may find math intimidating. My background in both mathematics and computer science has strengthened my analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, which I bring into every lesson.
I offer lessons for middle school and high school students, including GCSE, IGCSE, IB, and A-Level mathematics students looking for support with coursework, exam preparation, or strengthening foundational skills.
