About Mena
My name is Mena Williams, I was born and raised in Miami,Florida. I am currently studying Music Composition and Creative Writing at theUniversity of Redlands in Redlands, California. My primary instrument is piano I've been studying classical piano, specifically through the Suzuki Method for over a decade. I have experience in teaching from an 8th grade community service project where I taught elementary school kids piano. During the summer of 2021 I volunteered as a counselor at the University of Miami Young Musicians Camp directed by my former piano teacher.

My classes will be on Zoom, I will help students learn pieces they might be having trouble with and also teach them how to sight read more proficiently. For music theory classes, first, I will address if the student has any weak spots within the subject. We will work on those particular areas until they feel confident. If my students needs help with work from music classes I will always work on that first. I also do not mind teaching students new/ harder material if requested.
