About Esmeralda
Graduating with a BS Mathematics from UCLA provided the foundation, yet seeing concepts materialize as a shifting line on a graph changed my teaching forever. I often work with students told this subject was not for them, helping them find clarity through visualization. It is quite a shift, honestly, when someone realizes that practice and teaching are distinct disciplines that both require dedicated focus.
My approach covers integration by parts, exam technique, implicit differentiation, and optimization problems. I focus on integration techniques, differentiation rules, applications of derivatives, and differential equations basics. Whether we are tackling the chain rule or curve sketching, my goal is for you to leave these meetings feeling independent and ready for your next hurdle. I prefer steady weekly contact over occasional long sessions to ensure concepts actually sink in.
