About Jean
I am a native English speaker from the UK. I have two teaching degrees, the first is a Certificate of Teacher Education from Saxon Court London, UK. The second is an i-to-i TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certificate. For the past 10 years I have had experience teaching English in Malawi, Italy, Wales and Colombia, which is where I am currently and I tutor online students. I have a degree in International Tourism Management and substantial experience in owning and operating businesses.

I am a patient and naturally empathetic teacher, recognizing that the key to learning is to be relaxed, calm and provide relevant content. I think the more effort both teacher and student put in, the more rewards both will receive. I have experience in training students for the IELTS and Cambridge Academic English exams, tutoring international students studying in English on various subjects such as innovation, cinema, import / export, administration, etc. I have supported young professionals in their current jobs, through MBA applications, report writing, giving presentations, high school students, and also teaching parents so that they, in turn, can support their children in their homework with confidence.
