About Njabulo
Hi there! My name is Njabulo Biyela, and I’m a medical student at Stellenbosch University. I’m also a former Actuarial Science student at Wits University, and in high school, I was honored to be one of South Africa’s National Top Performers, achieving 100% in Mathematics. I’ve been tutoring for over four years, working with learners from all backgrounds through tutoring companies and volunteer work at my former high school. During this time, I’ve helped students improve their marks, build confidence, and develop study methods that actually work for them. One of the reasons I’m so passionate about teaching is that I’ve seen firsthand the gap that often exists between teachers and learners in schools. Many students struggle to connect with how content is taught, and I’m here to bridge that gap — by offering relatable, learner-focused support that meets each student where they are. My goal is not just to help you pass, but to help you truly understand. I simplify complex concepts, guide you through problem-solving step by step, and work with you to find the best way for you to learn. I believe every student has potential — they just need the right support to unlock it.

As a tutor, I use a learner-centered approach that focuses on simplifying complex topics, adapting to the student’s learning style, and building long-term understanding and confidence. I believe that no two learners are the same — much like a doctor treats each patient individually, I tailor each lesson to meet the unique needs of the student. My goal is to help students not only improve their marks but truly understand the subject matter.
I am fluent in English, Zulu, Xhosa, Pedi and Sotho, and I can teach confidently in all 5 languages, which helps students feel comfortable and learn in the language they understand best.
In a typical lesson with me, students can expect a warm, focused, and structured environment. I provide clear explanations, visual breakdowns, custom-made notes, and we practice past exam questions together to improve exam technique and time management. I constantly check for understanding and give feedback that helps the student grow. I also encourage open communication so learners feel safe asking questions.
My lessons are aimed at Grade 10–12 students, particularly those taking Mathematics, Physics, Life Sciences, and Geography. I work well with both high-achieving learners who want to push for distinctions and students who are struggling and need to build from the basics.
I am passionate about education and committed to helping students reach their full academic potential in a way that works for them.
