I would characterize myself as a very passionate and adaptable person and tutor, as I not only have a lot of experience on other tutoring websites, but also in-person with every student archetype possible. I justify my price of $40 an hour due to both my extensive experience in the subjects listed, but also my personalized and flexible teaching style and schedule. I specialize in standardized test prep and received a 35 on my ACT and a 1570 on my SAT. I achieved 5s on the AP Test on all AP courses listed. I have tutored over 100 elementary and middle school kids on a variety of subjects, so I am comfortable and skilled to teach virtually any topic for that age range.
I have spent the last 3 years tutoring students varying from elementary school to the high school level, in the US, China, and Dominican Republic.
My goal is to make each lesson and my teaching style personalized for each student's abilities and personality, which is why I offer the free 15 minute introductory meetings so I can assess how I should tutor the student.
