About Faraz

The experience I have in tutoring ranges from teaching under achieving GCSE students during AS Levels and teaching AS level students during A levels. I have tutored within school, being part of groups such as PASS and young learner. I have taught students around the local area too, from high school students all the way to college/sixth form students.

The feedback I receive from helping these students has always been great. My attitude to tutoring has always had a positive impact on each students academic performance.

Just a bit of my own academic background. I recieved a first during my 1st year of university, acheving firsts across 90% of my modules. During A levels I acheived A*A*A in Chemistry, Maths and Physics respectively.

About the lesson

Hi my name is Faraz and I am a Chemical Engineeing student at the University of Manchester

I am looking to teach students from GCSE to A levels. Having recently gone through these tough but rewarding periods of education I believe I understand the mindset of these types of students. I know about the stress exams can cause, the struggle to manage revision and how to balance social life as well as academic life. It is for these reasons and countless more that demonstrate my strong abilities in teaching others.

I feel as if my teaching approach is very friendly and approachable. My teaching tradegy is rather simple too. I believe that in order for student to fully grasp and understand information is to always start with a strong foundation. With my knowledge I aim to strengthen this foundation and help to highlight any weaknesses students may have. Having this foundation, from personal experience, I believe makes it much easier to understand the more advanced concepts and ideas.
