I understand how tricky learning theory can be; getting used to the key signatures, corresponding degrees and chord qualities, and so much more. I’ve learned that using games and easy-to-comprehend practice examples help students retain information. This is very important since understanding music theory as a whole is a cumulative journey.

I use online games and exercises, as well as hand on learning using the piano and staff paper.
Lessons can cover topics like sight reading, chord analysis, part-writing, melodic and harmonic dictation, and basic piano application.
Lessons can also reinforce the fundamentals such as the letter names of the staff, chord qualities, intervals, and rhythmic dictation.
