My approach to teaching begins with who you are and goals. Music is a cultural expression and unique to each of us. I consider learning and making music a creative process we do together.
I have travelled the world participating in music communities from Fado in Portugal to music halls in Germany.
In New Zealand I created the West Auckland Music School serving as a composition band program and performance.
Lesson's include developing technique applied with understanding. Formal and informal pathways of musicianship are applied. This means "playing by ear" called harmony, with formal theory and practice.
