About Peter

My tertiary qualifications relevant to this position include a A Certificate IV and Graduate Certificate in TESOL; a current Police Check; a current Blue and Yellow Card; A Diploma and Graduate Diploma of Education in teaching English; Languages other than English; Science and Maths also within an inclusive curriculum applying
the Communicative Person Centred Approach; an international scholarship BA Honours qualifications in Mathematics and Pure Science areas

My practical experience extends from teaching English to International students in preparation for IELTS; PTE; First, and Advanced (PET, FCE, CAE) exam preparation courses; Business English; English for Academic Purposes; General English; through the day at VIT Educational contracts which range from working as a language, geography, maths or science facilitator within private or public primary and secondary schools, through to international colleges as well as with private individuals from BIT at home, and or facilitating for students with or without special needs from early childhood through to university levels within contracts from the Victorian Institute of Education with excellent references available on request. I have taught English in Africa, and Australia

I speak Shona, French, and English. Through my life I have lived in Europe in Africa, Canada and Australia.

As an experienced facilitator of many years with children through to adults, I am used to assisting with student centred interests planning activities materials and creative triggers, while managing assistant staff or taking instruction. I enjoy working independently and as part of a team. I believe in inclusion in all manner and form and find that the students are individual thinkers who form the foundation of our culture within society on many levels.

About the lesson

I use the Communicative approach based on student centred interests to facilitate helping students in enrichment and or inclusive strategies, by starting with familiar areas as a foundation and then building new material on these so that the student feels relaxed
