About Riley

Hello! My name is Riley, and I am a public relations intern for my local school district. I got this position by showing professionalism and my academic merits. I enjoy teaching and have always had a knack for it, so I decided to apply when I was told I could tutor for some extra money.

I know that through work and dedication, while not everyone's favorite subject, math can be easy and sometimes even fun. I have always done well in math (and in school in general) and would love to help others get there, too.

About the lesson

I enjoy a friendly environment where we can get to know each other; teaching is something that I enjoy, and while I am new as a tutor, I have a good understanding of math and how to teach it.

I will start lessons by discussing each problem's struggle and the subject's concept. Every problem has several ways to conceptualize it; sometimes, a new perspective solves the difficulty. I would also utilize practice sheets and other resources to sharpen my skills.

As a high schooler, I can't teach advanced trigonometry or anything beyond Algebra 2. Still, I am a disciplined and effective tutor who will stop at nothing to ensure my students understand the material. Middle school students, freshmen, sophomores, and juniors in algebra 1 or 2, as well as geometry or equivalent classes, would be the best match for me.
