About Ottavia
I'm Ottavia, a 22 year old student of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Bologna.
I'm Italian and have spent the past 4 years tutoring GCSE and A-Level students in Biology and Chemistry. Over that time, I have helped others get into medical school and achieve the best grades possible in their exams.
My focus is always on you and your journey as a learner and I love helping my students achieve the very best they can whilst inspiring them to chase their dreams.

Unveiling the power of personalised learning
My journey through medical school has taught me the importance of learning how to learn, which is why the aim of my lessons goes beyond helping the pupils with the individual subject, but it rather aims at supplying each student with tools to learn their individual learning style, strengths and challenges.
I believe in tailoring my teaching methods and learning tools to each student, to equip them with studying skills and problem-solving abilities that they can use not just in their exams but for the rest of their lives.
Your time, your pace
It is of the utmost importance for me to structure lessons thoughtfully to keep my students engaged and to use our time wisely.
A typical lesson will last 60 minutes, in order to provide you with a focused learning experience which will allow you to absorb information more effectively.
Experience translates into expertise
Having to teach myself how to study in medical school provided me with invaluable experience in figuring out the most effective learning strategies for each individual.
Furthermore, my 4 years of experience tutoring have given me a thorough understanding of the different exam boards requirements and of the most effective exam strategies.
