About Emily

I’m currently studying Medicine at King’s College London and undertaking an intercalated MSc in Cardiovascular Sciences. Having successfully completed my third year of medical school with a pass with merit, I have developed a strong understanding of biology and the underlying scientific principles that are essential for academic success.

I’m passionate about science and enjoy helping others develop their understanding and confidence. My experience studying complex biological concepts has helped me appreciate the importance of clear explanations, effective revision strategies and applying knowledge to exam-style questions.

I understand that every student learns differently, so I aim to provide patient, supportive and personalised lessons tailored to each student's individual goals. Whether you're looking to strengthen your understanding of challenging topics, improve your exam technique or build confidence ahead of exams, I would love to help you reach your potential.

About the lesson

I’m a medical student at King’s College London, currently undertaking an MSc in Cardiovascular Sciences, with a strong academic background in biology and the sciences.

My aim is to make biology easier to understand by breaking down complex topics into simple, manageable concepts. I adapt my teaching style to each student, focusing on areas they find challenging and helping them build confidence in their knowledge.

Lessons can include clear explanations, diagrams, worked examples, exam-style questions and active recall techniques to help students consolidate their understanding and prepare effectively for exams. I believe understanding the reasoning behind a concept is just as important as memorising the facts.

Lessons typically last 60 minutes, although this can be adapted to suit each student's needs. I aim to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.

I’m happy to tutor students at KS3, GCSE and A-level, helping with everything from understanding difficult topics to exam technique and revision strategies. My goal is to help every student feel more confident in biology and achieve their academic potential.
