About Ethan
I've taken math/learning programs primarily from MIT, where I attended their MITES program in 2022, and companies such as Jane Street where, in a program called AMP Jane Street, I learned mathematics under incredible professors like Zuming Feng and Zhou Qun Song who are both associated with the International Mathematical Olympiad. I've also received 4's on both AP Physics and AP Physics C: Mechanics and a 5 in AP Calculus BC with a 5 sub score in Calculus AB. I have prior experience tutoring for my previous middle school as well as tutoring for other high school students. Graduated from Brooklyn Technical high school with 3.97 unweighted GPA.

My lessons are primarily for middle and high school students struggling with lessons in class. My lessons are designed to cover any gaps that may be left behind from learning in school. There will be utilization of constant feedback from the student throughout the lessons. Students will have pause times to be able to solve problems or discuss any questions they've had from the lesson every 10 to 15 minutes. Students will always be given a chance to correct their mistakes in an inviting environment. At the end of every lesson students will be asked to state the point they feel the most unclear about in order to better understand what they need to work on and so I can understand what to prioritize in my lessons. Students can also ask for help on their school work and will be asked what they learned that day in class as to promote active recall to help reinforce concepts they learn in school.
