About Yasin

Students and parents want a tutor they can trust, so I aim to create a professional, supportive, and reliable learning environment from the very first lesson. I understand that maths can sometimes feel intimidating, so my goal is to help students feel comfortable asking questions and building their confidence step by step.

I have a strong academic background in mathematics. I achieved an A* in A-Level Mathematics and a Grade 9 in GCSE Mathematics, and I am currently studying Mechanical Engineering at Queen Mary University of London, where advanced mathematics is a core part of my degree. My studies continue to strengthen my analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, which I pass on to my students during lessons.

Alongside my studies, I have experience tutoring GCSE maths students, helping them improve their understanding of key topics and perform better in exams. Through this experience I have learned how to explain complex ideas clearly and adapt my teaching style depending on each student’s needs. Some students need help strengthening their foundations, while others want to aim for the highest grades, and I tailor my lessons accordingly.

I also understand the structure of GCSE and A-Level exams and focus on teaching students not only the content but also the strategies needed to succeed in exam conditions. This includes working through exam-style questions, identifying common mistakes, and developing efficient problem-solving techniques.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is focused on building strong understanding and confidence in maths. I believe students perform best when they truly understand the logic behind a method rather than simply memorising steps. During lessons I explain concepts clearly, break difficult problems into manageable steps, and encourage students to ask questions so they feel comfortable engaging with the material.
I am currently studying Mechanical Engineering at Queen Mary University of London, where maths is a core part of my degree. I achieved an A* in A-Level Mathematics and a Grade 9 in GCSE Mathematics, and I have previous experience tutoring GCSE students, helping them strengthen their problem-solving skills and confidence with exam questions.

My lessons are mainly for GCSE Maths students, but I can also support A-Level Maths students who want help understanding difficult topics or improving their exam performance. I work with students of different abilities, whether they need support catching up, strengthening their foundations, or pushing towards the highest grades.
