About Hugo Ramón
I am Head of Practical Works in the Materials Sciences area for Engineering careers at the Balseiro Institute, located in Bariloche, Argentina. I have worked in basic subjects (rational mechanics) and applied (Materials and Processes, Engineering Laboratory). I also participated in the virtual chair of admission, where young people who aspire to enter the institute develop skills in Mathematics and Physics compatible with the first 2 years of exact science or engineering careers.

As Head of practical work, my experience is mainly based on the elaboration of concepts from exercises or examples. In general, and when it comes to some core subject matter, I work with some reference text and then with alternative explanations of the concepts. I like drawing diagrams, graphs, and working with students in abstraction to represent concepts graphically. When it comes to applied science topics I like to look for examples of their concrete implementation.
