Methodology
I am a good listener, quite flexible, and patient. I have the emotional intelligence to motivate students and encourage them.
I start with the fundamentals of mathematics and simplify concepts so that the basics are nailed first before proceeding to more complex problems
Background
I am a mathematics teacher with 12 years experience. I have taught mathematics at both primary and secondary levels in South Africa for 2 years and 10 years of experience teaching under the Cambridge system abroad.
My experience in primary and secondary schools have given me a broad insight into how to employ a range of strategies to make maths interesting, enjoyable and engaging. At the same time I also have experience in working with a range of ability level students and am quite conversant with adapting my teaching strategies to suit the needs of the learners.
