I am a professional that puts some hours aside to help students develop stronger skills in math. I enjoy helping and talking to people and learning about them in the process. My hobbies outside of my work life include board games, video games, hiking, golfing, cooking, and spending time with my wife and 3 cats.

I believe that building a trusting relationship and fostering an environment where students are comfortable with asking questions and experiencing trial and error are key. A typical tutoring session depends on the student and subject, but often includes review of recent work, going over problems from your course that need deeper explanations, then targeting what is most important to tackle those problems moving forward. I am patient and use multiple approaches in explaining concepts, because I understand that not all minds work alike. I mainly tutor middle-high school math but have also tutored adults that have needed fundamental skills for courses or tests they were enrolled in.
