About Ross Christian
With more than eight years of experience teaching Mathematics, I am committed to helping students build both competence and confidence in quantitative subjects. I hold a Master of Arts in Education major in Mathematics and am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Applied Statistics. My academic background, combined with years of classroom experience, has equipped me with the knowledge and skills necessary to support learners with diverse abilities, learning styles, and educational goals.
As an educator, I believe that every student can succeed when provided with clear explanations, proper guidance, and a supportive learning environment. I strive to make lessons engaging, organized, and tailored to each student's needs. Rather than focusing solely on finding the correct answer, I help students understand the concepts and reasoning behind each solution, enabling them to develop strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills that extend beyond the classroom.
Professionalism, patience, and dedication are at the core of my teaching practice. I carefully prepare each lesson, provide constructive feedback, and encourage students to ask questions without hesitation. Whether you need assistance with Mathematics, Statistics, research-related topics, or exam preparation, I am committed to helping you achieve your academic goals through a structured, supportive, and student-centered learning experience. My objective is not only to improve your performance but also to cultivate a lasting appreciation for learning and analytical thinking.

I believe that effective learning happens when complex concepts are explained in a simple, practical, and engaging manner. As a Mathematics instructor with more than eight years of teaching experience and a graduate of a Master of Arts in Education major in Mathematics, I combine strong subject expertise with learner-centered teaching strategies. I am also currently pursuing a Master's degree in Applied Statistics, which allows me to integrate both theoretical and applied perspectives into my lessons.
Teaching Method and Techniques
My teaching approach focuses on conceptual understanding rather than memorization. I begin by assessing the student's current knowledge and learning needs, then tailor my explanations and activities accordingly. I use:
Step-by-step problem-solving demonstrations
Guided practice with immediate feedback
Real-life examples and applications
Visual representations and diagrams when appropriate
Question-and-answer discussions to promote critical thinking
Practice exercises that gradually increase in difficulty
I encourage students to explain their reasoning, helping them develop confidence and analytical skills.
A Typical Lesson Plan
Review of Previous Topics (5–10 minutes)
Introduction of New Concepts (10–15 minutes)
Guided Examples and Demonstrations (15–20 minutes)
Student Practice and Problem Solving (15–20 minutes)
Feedback, Clarification, and Discussion (5–10 minutes)
Summary and Assignment of Practice Exercises
Lessons are adjusted based on the student's pace, goals, and level of understanding.
