About Lucas
I am graduating from Imperial College London with expected first-class honours for MSci Mathematics. I am also joining the joint Imperial-Oxford PhD programme, StatML: a centre for doctoral training for statistics and machine learning research. My research will focus on genetics, and the machine learning aspect to enhance characteristic predictions from DNA.

I am a strong believer that developing the understanding of the material is the best way for students to learn. Practice and application are both excellent tools to supplement understanding, however without the necessary underlying knowledge of the content then these are both redundant techniques. My aim is to develop the essential understanding of the material and then reinforce this knowledge with practice and applications, that can be checked and corrected.
My experience as a tutor has ranged from tutoring students for mathematics for 11+, GCSE and A-level, and I have acted as a first-year helper to aid first-year mathematics students revise for their exams. I have also worked as an educational content creator, where I have wrote summaries and practice exam questions to be used for online learning at Evulpo.
Typically, the lessons are 1 hour in length, however the duration of each lesson can be tailored to best suit your need. I also will look to provide additional practice, and my lessons are aimed to support any age range from 11+ to A-level.
