About Izaiah

I have worked at a college for about 5 years now and tutored for about 8 years in a variety of subjects my main specialty is arithmetic since it's the core value of all math even in the higher end of classes where arithmetic is crucial to getting to the final answer I enjoy tutoring as much as I do teaching and engaging with students and seeing them grow and learn is what gravitated me to becoming a tutor/prof and makes me happy seeing students succeed.

About the lesson

I typically go for the Socratic questioning and scaffolding to help have all my students engage in their subject and to see where we can fill in the gaps of knowledge check in every session. I enjoy breaking down every problem and find the most efficient but also reliable way of giving out methods to solutions to how to memorize a unit circle or even to do u substitution in your head. I can help in all topics from K-12 and I shine a lot in college level math courses primarily calculus. Typically we come up with a game plan for our session beforehand so I can set up the flow of our lesson. By any means feel free to ask me questions and I will respond to as soon as possible. Let's work together :)

Izaiah is seriously the best tutor! As a high school student, I’ve had my fair share of struggles, but he makes everything so much easier to understand. He’s super patient, explains things in a way that actually clicks, and never makes me feel bad for asking questions. His teaching style is really engaging, and he always finds a way to make learning fun. If you’re looking for a tutor who genuinely cares and helps you improve, I can’t recommend him enough!
