About Shihab
Hey, I’m Shihab. I’ve been teaching math and working in engineering and tech for a while now. Over the years, I’ve helped tons of students who thought they just “weren’t good at math”—turns out, most of the time it’s just the way it’s been explained to them. I like to keep things simple, clear, and real. I don’t use big complicated words or try to show off—I just try to make sure you get it. I’ve taught high school students, college kids, and even adults going back to school, and I always try to adapt to how each person learns best. What makes me good at it? I guess I’m just really patient, and I actually care. If you’re stuck, I’ll find another way to explain it, or we’ll break it down until it makes sense. No pressure, no judgment—just solid help.

I try to keep things simple and clear in every lesson. I’ve taught a lot of students over the years, and what I’ve learned is this: when the student understands why they’re doing something in math—not just following steps blindly—they actually get better, faster. Here’s how I usually break down a typical session: 1. Quick Review (5–10 mins) We go over anything that’s still confusing from the last session or any recent homework. This helps catch small mistakes early and builds confidence. 2. Main Topic Focus (30–35 mins) This is where we dive into the new stuff. I explain the concept step-by-step, using real-life examples or simple logic that makes sense. I don’t just throw formulas at you—we talk through the why behind the math. 3. Practice Time (15–20 mins) We’ll go through problems together so you can get used to solving them on your own. I show tricks to avoid common mistakes, and we build test-taking strategies too.
