About Sharon
Hi, I’m Sharon, and I’m passionate about making math and science approachable and rewarding for every student. I have four years of experience teaching high school math/science, including Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Personal Finance, Biology, Chemistry, and Anatomy & Physiology. Along the way, I’ve helped many students overcome self-doubt, build strong foundations, and discover that they’re capable of much more than they imagined. Beyond the classroom, I work in a fast-paced emergency department where clear thinking and practical application of science are essential every day. I also train and mentor new medical scribes, which has strengthened my ability to explain complex ideas in simple, relatable ways. My tutoring style is professional, patient, and encouraging. I use clear visuals, real-world examples, and structured practice to help you master each concept step by step. Whether you’re aiming to boost your grades, prepare for college, or simply feel more confident, I’ll be your partner in reaching those goals. Ready to level up your skills? Let’s make it happen!

I get it—math and science can feel overwhelming. I’ve helped students go from confused to confident, and I’d love to help you do the same.
I taught high school math & science for four years, including Algebra, Personal Finance, Biology, Chemistry, Physical Science, and Anatomy & Physiology. Many of my students came in saying they were “bad at math” or “just not science people, “ but with patience, real-world examples, and personalized strategies, they started understanding the why behind the concepts, not just memorizing formulas.
Now, I work in an Emergency Department and train new medical scribes, applying science in real life every day. I know how to break things down into simple, practical explanations that stick.
-What to Expect in a Typical Lesson-
1. Clear Visual Learning
We start with a short presentation using slides, visuals, and diagrams to introduce or review the key concept in a way that’s easy to understand.
2. Step-by-Step Demonstration
I walk you through sample problems or examples, modeling exactly how to approach each step.
3. Guided Practice
We tackle practice questions together, so you can try applying what you’ve learned with my support. I’ll offer tips and clarify anything that doesn’t click right away.
4. Independent Practice with Scaffolding
You’ll work through similar problems on your own while I watch for any trouble spots. I’ll guide you as much or as little as you need to build confidence.
5. Recap and Next Steps
At the end, we review what you accomplished, identify areas to strengthen, and set goals for the next session.
This approach helps you move from simply watching how it’s done to confidently doing it yourself—step by step.
Our sessions will be personalized, judgment-free, and focused on building true understanding and memory retention.
Let’s build your confidence and reach your goals together!

Sharon is an incredible scribe trainer, extremely knowledgeable, patient, and supportive every step of the way. She has a real gift for teaching and always takes the time to make sure you fully understand the material. What I appreciated most is how she pushes you just enough to step out of your comfort zone and grow, without ever making you feel overwhelmed. Her feedback is thoughtful and constructive, and she creates a learning environment where you feel confident and capable. I’m so grateful to have had her as a trainer; she truly sets the standard for what great teaching looks like.
I worked with Sharon as a trainee and learned a tremendous amount. Sharon facilitated my learning by teaching by example. In the beginning of my training, Sharon taught me the basics and the fundamentals and provided ample time to practice the skills I learned. She eventually let me take over and put the skills I learned into practice and offered helpful feedback every step of the way. I am grateful for my time learning from Sharon.
I was a trainee of Sharon’s at Huguley, she was very helpful and welcoming. I have never worked in the medical field till now, Sharon was one of the first few people I met and she walked me through everything and is someone you can count of to be a role model. I highly recommend Sharon to teach and help other’s grow!
I had hands on training with Sharon in the medical field as a scribe and from my experience, she is a very knowledgeable person and a gifted teacher. Sharon has an ability to simplify concepts and make them more digestible; especially when it comes to subsequent order that must be learned quickly in a scribing role.
Her thorough teaching and patience makes learning more attainable- which I’m sure will apply to tutoring chemistry as well! She received “Scribe of the Year” this past spring, and was recognized for her notable work ethic by doctors and medical staff. I am grateful to have her as a mentor, and I 10/10 recommend her to anyone who is looking for a great tutor!Sharon trained me at a very high pressure, intense, and fast job. She did an amazing job breaking everything down simply and made sure I understood everything. She was very patient and not once was I ever scared to go to her for help! I absolutely recommend her as a tutor, teacher, or any sort of professional. If I had to choose someone to teach me again, I would 110% pick Sharon!
Our son studied Anatomy & Physiology with Sharon his senior year and when he started taking A&P in college, he told us he felt super prepared thanks to Sharon’s help.
I highly recommend Sharon as a chemistry teacher. They’re super smart and have a real gift for breaking things down so they actually make sense. No matter how confusing the topic is, they explain it in a way that’s easy to understand and always take the time to help if you’re stuck. Thanks to them, I feel way more
confident in chemistry. She has really helped me understand the why behind the subject. She’s really good at explaining and patient when I need extra explaining Would definitely recommend!
