About Nina
I am a UBC Civil Engineering grad based in Vancouver, BC, Canada. In the past, I have tutored friends by explaining tough concepts and have used a variety of tools to study for exams. I will streamline your learning through effective communication, teach you new studying tricks, and use a variety of learning tools to help you grasp tough concepts.
As an added bonus, I will provide mentorship to help you achieve your goals, whether it be prepping for Uni or applying to jobs. I have worked in engineering consulting, government, and academia. On top of academic tutoring, I can offer job-hunting and interview tutoring, as I have successfully applied & got over 7 engineering co-op & EIT jobs in the past 8 years with a high success rate.

Hi there! A bit about me:
- I am a UBC Civil Engineering Grad (Dean's Honours, Graduated with Distinction) with years of experience tutoring math/physics to friends back in Uni.
- I am versatile and can tutor in high school math and physics, or can tutor in first year uni or civil engineering courses.
- I am offering classes in person (at cafes/libraries around Vancouver) and virtually.
How my lessons will be structured:
- Send me a copy of your notes and homework that you need help on around a week before the lesson. I will review the material and develop a personalized lesson plan for you to understand the concept when we meet.
- I will use a variety of methods for you to understand the concept, which may include: explanations, digital whiteboard, mind mapping, examples, etc.
- I may also send you resources and/or cheat sheets depending on the topic.
- If you have certain academic goal(s) you would like to pursue, you can let me know so that I can develop the lesson plans towards that goal.
The first meeting will be virtual and future meetings can be arranged in-person upon request. Look forward to working with you!
