About Erica
I am extremely passionate about all things English and teaching English. I am a Carleton University Bachelors of English graduate and am currently enrolled in Carleton University's Masters of English program. I intend on pursuing my PHD in English and teaching at the university level.
In my personal writing career, I have published two books of poetry and worked for a little over a year as a writer and editor for an Ottawa-based music blog. I often enter my writing into local and national writing competitions, some of which I have come first place!

I can help with the writing process, including formal writing (essays and literary analysis), technical writing (resumes, cover letters, nonfiction writing) and creative writing (poetry, short stories, personal projects). I can also help with analyzing literary and creative texts (novel studies, annotations, short stories and poetry). Furthermore, I can help improve the 'nuts and bolts' of your writing, as I am adept in grammar and love to show others the ropes!
With the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario, I have taught grade 9 English, grade 10 English and English as a second language. I have also tutored students ranging from ages 4 - 20 in English, tailoring my lessons to their specific course requirements or personal needs.
