I am a passionate Biology and Science teacher for more than thirty years now, and that includes teaching Secondary students, VCE students, and also Bachelor Degree students. I am a: Registered VIT teacher in Victoria (M.Sc in Biology; PhD in Biology)

With over 30 years of teaching experience, I provide personalised Biology support tailored to each student’s individual learning needs and level of understanding. My teaching focuses on building strong foundations by explaining concepts clearly, using relatable real-life examples, and helping students develop genuine understanding rather than relying on memorisation.
I place great importance on teaching students how to learn Biology effectively. This includes making meaningful notes, summarising key ideas, linking concepts together, and developing the skills needed to approach the subject with confidence. My aim is to help students not only improve their results, but also become more independent and capable learners.
Lessons are structured to ensure students understand exactly what they need to know for success in VCE Biology. Exam-style questions are discussed towards the end of each lesson so students can apply their knowledge and become familiar with assessment expectations.
I take great pride in seeing my students grow in confidence and achievement, and the positive feedback I receive from current students continues to inspire me.
Classes are conducted in weekly 1-2 hours (based on the need ) sessions and include both concept teaching and assessment tasks. Assessments are marked, with feedback provided the following week, and a weekly performance report can be sent to the student and/or parent.
The first session is a short complimentary class, giving students the opportunity to get to know me, experience my teaching style, and decide whether the classes are the right fit for them.
