About Freddie
I am passionate about screen and theatre writing, which I have been focussing my attention on for many years. I believe that everyone can be creative, despite the common misconception. Even though many students may not go into the Arts, I think that the study of English should be about creativity when reading, writing, and viewing texts. During my Bachelor of Arts (Creative Writing) at the University of Melbourne, I participated in many theatre shows. I met people studying various courses from Arts to Medicine to Economics. They were all passionate about engaging in the creative field. All these people were involved with the natural human trait of creativity, which I would like to bring to any school I work with. Because of my theatre passion and teaching philosophy, I would do well in teaching because I want to encourage students to get up and be involved in the text we study; whether they are creating posters or stories or performances, it will allow them to engage in the text differently.

Sessions will be relaxed and taken at the student's pace. The first session will be mainly figuring out what the student's, family and my expectations are for the tutoring sessions, plus getting an idea for what level the student is at and planning for future sessions. I have been tutoring on and off since 2016, largely online. I usually run sessions for 60 minutes, but am able to run sessions at 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 75 minutes. Longer sessions can be arranged. My sessions are usually aimed at high school students but I am open to tutoring upper primary students (years 5 & 6).
