About Maia

My teaching methodology for Guitar is rooted in Creativity, Compassion, Flexibility, and Integrity, designed to create an inspiring and student-centered learning environment. I believe every student has a unique musical voice, and I tailor lessons to nurture individual strengths while addressing areas that need improvement. By combining technical instruction with creative exploration, I help students develop not only skills but also confidence and self-expression on the instrument. I incorporate real-life examples and case studies, breaking down songs, performances, and famous compositions to show how theory and technique are applied in practical, engaging ways. Lessons often include improvisation exercises, ear training, composition projects, and song-based learning, making the material relevant and enjoyable. This hands-on approach ensures students can connect concepts directly to music they love, keeping them motivated and inspired. I provide honest feedback, consistent support, and constructive guidance to help learners grow steadily. Beyond guitar performance, I also offer guidance in music theory, rhythm, and composition, helping students become well-rounded musicians capable of playing, creating, and performing with confidence.

I am a passionate Guitar Tutor with 2 years of dedicated experience, teaching students from school to college levels. My goal is to help each learner build a strong musical foundation while exploring their unique style and creative expression. Whether it’s mastering chords, scales, or jazz improvisation, I ensure my students understand both the technical and emotional sides of playing the guitar. I believe that music should be enjoyable, engaging, and personally meaningful, so I strive to make every lesson inspiring and rewarding.

My teaching style is creative, flexible, and student-centered. I use innovative techniques like song-based learning, ear training drills, and practical improvisation sessions to make complex musical ideas easy to grasp. I also incorporate real-life examples from iconic performances and artists to demonstrate how theory applies to real music. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s goals, pace, and preferred genre, ensuring steady progress and consistent motivation throughout their journey.

I encourage creative exploration through jam sessions, recording projects, and personal compositions, helping students connect emotionally with their music. My mission is to empower every learner to express themselves confidently through their instrument and develop the skills to play, perform, and create like a true musician.
