About Aashna

I am currently studying for my Master's in Management at Imperial College London. I previously studied a BSc in Psychology at University College London, achieving a First Class Honours.

I have always been highly academic, having achieved 3 A*'s at A level (Biology, Psychology and Mathematics). I was even awarded the highest mark in the world at Pearson A-Level Biology.

I am eager to pass on the tips and tricks I have learned throughout my academic journey.

About the lesson

As a seasoned peer mentor and tutor with experience working with a diverse range of students, I have developed a nuanced approach to tutoring that prioritises fostering a positive and supportive learning environment. My methodology centres on empowering students to develop the foundational understanding required to tackle complex tasks and academic challenges with confidence and ease. I believe in guiding students without intimidating them, and I always endeavour to create an inclusive and collaborative learning atmosphere that encourages open communication and the free exchange of ideas.

To achieve this, I take the time to get to know each student individually, listening carefully to their specific concerns and challenges. By prioritising their unique needs and tailoring my approach accordingly, I can create a personalised learning experience that is both engaging and effective. Moreover, I recognise the importance of building a rapport with my students and actively work to establish a trusting relationship founded on mutual respect and understanding.

In addition to providing guidance and support, I encourage students to take ownership of their learning and to engage in critical thinking and problem-solving. By equipping them with the tools and strategies required to succeed, I aim to foster independent learners who are capable of anything.

The typical length of a lesson will be 1-2hrs, depending on the goals of the student. I teach GCSE and A-Level Mathematics, Biology, and Psychology.

I had Aashna give private maths lessons to my 12 year old son for a few weeks before his exam. He scored an A!
She was so kind and VERY patient! Always necessary yet rare.
I definitely recommend.

Aashna and I are University Colleagues at Imperial College London Business School.

Aashna is organized, diligent, and empathetic. Not only is she always on top of her work, but she simultaneously manages to help others. Her charisma and selflessness really influence the people around her.

Aashna is extremely proficient at quant-heavy topics. When I struggled in our 'Corporate Finance' module during our MSc Management studies at Imperial College London, Aashna offered her help. Under her patient guidance, I achieved a high score in my final exam.

I am confident your students are in good hands under Aashna's guidance.
