About Brooklyn

I am an experienced educator with a background as both a Preschool Teacher and K–12 Substitute Teacher, providing instruction across a wide range of subjects including English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Music. I hold a Professional Development Certification in Early Care and Childhood Education and am passionate about creating supportive learning environments that encourage academic growth and confidence. Throughout my teaching experience, I have focused on fostering social and emotional development, helping students build strong relationships, navigate challenges, and develop essential life skills. Academically, I earned an Associate of Applied Science in Marketing, graduated high school early, and transitioned directly into college. I was also recognized on the Dean's List and inducted into the National Honor Society for my academic achievement and dedication. English has always been my strongest subject, and I enjoy helping students strengthen their communication, reading, and writing skills while inspiring a lifelong love of learning.

About the lesson

A typical session would begin with a warm welcome and brief check-in to build rapport and understand how the student is feeling. I would then introduce the lesson objectives and use interactive activities to keep students engaged throughout the session. For younger learners, this may include games, stories, visuals, songs, and hands-on activities. For older students, I would incorporate discussion, guided practice, problem-solving exercises, and real-world examples. I always provide opportunities for students to ask questions, practice new skills, and receive positive feedback.
