About Tom
I am a fresh graduate from Raffles Junior College who understands the pains of studying and not doing well. My aim is to help students find joy in their work and help them find a studying style that fits their personality and needs. I offer weekend slots, both face-to-face and online. I find the joy in helping and seeing people improve, that’s why I wish to help you out in your studying journey.

Looking to tutor Upper Primary, Lower Secondary Math and Science; Essay and Composition Writing, usually in 1-2 hour periods. Will answer questions with schoolwork, and lessons will be structured based on the proficiency of the student. My aim is to promote self-directed practice over memorising formulae, with a focus on learning from mistakes.
Qualifications:
PSLE (2017) - A* in Math & Science, A in English
O Levels (2021) - A1 in E Math, A Math, Pure Biology, Pure Chemistry & English
A Levels (2023) - A in Math, Biology & GP
Past experience tutoring Lower Primary School children in Maths and Science
Lesson structure:
1.5 - 2 hours.
Time for student’s own clarifications, can be homework and past test papers.
Topic oriented approach, will target students’ weakness and reinforce their strengths. Encourage them to try to identify their own shortcomings and improve on it.
Questions gone through will be from assessment books, past year papers (school and PSLE) and tricky questions. It will be pre-assigned homework that the student will complete and time will be spent going through their errors. Any extra time will be allocated to schoolwork and in-class practice.
