About Ellen
I'm a freelance scenic artist, recently graduated from Royal Central School of Speech & Drama with a BA(Hons) in Theatre Practice. The role of a scenic artist is to paint sets- this can be for theatre, film, events, or festivals. As well as requiring technical skill, scenic art relies heavily on team work and problem solving. As such, I'm adaptable and at ease working with people of varying ages, from all walks of life. Having tutored lower years throughout my academic career, I'm able to provide assistance to students from primary school age to those applying for arts based university courses.

My teaching methods and lesson structure vary depending on the individual student and their needs. Most artistic endeavours require practice, so in some cases I set projects that require ongoing commitment, little and often. If the student hopes to improve their technical skill, I work through methods with them. In every case, learning is active and requires practical participating from students.
I also underline my teaching with colour theory, art history, and aesthetics where applicable.
