About Ella
I am a First Class LLB Law and Politics graduate from Cardiff University. I excelled during my A Levels in English Literature (A*), English Language (A) and History (A). I am also a dancer competing for the University team over the past three years and so I am proficient in communicating effectively - a transferable skill for tutoring work. I've tutored before, both at school as a peer tutor, and as a paid tutor for primary school age.

My teaching method is friendly but helpful - I like to make my students feel as comfortable as possible so that I can really get to grips with what they need to improve on in order to get those top grades. I was a peer tutor for students while I was at school, and treated them in the same way I’d treat anybody else; without a patronising attitude! It's important that I keep parents/carers up to date with their child's progress with me, particularly the younger students or those who require more intensive tutoring.
I will do so by either keeping a Learning Diary or discussing after the lesson via email.
The first lesson is free, as I will use it to get to know my student and the kind of level he/she may be at. After that, the hard work starts!
I am also more than happy to help students who may be applying to university in terms of reading personal statements/applications, but please note this is only from my own experience. I am happy to do this alongside the lessons and this can be discussed individually.
