About Lola
I have been a professional educator for 40 years. I have a master's degree in reading instruction as well as curriculum instruction and school administration. My primary work is with young students; preschool, and elementary aged. I also work with students learning English as a second language.

Reading lessons are organized around the five components of reading identified by the National Reading Panel (2000): phonemic awareness, alphabetic principle or phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Lessons focus on the skills necessary to decode, read, and comprehend text. Literacy skills are also used to develop writing.
