About Ana Marie

I am a Licensed Civil Engineer with 5 years of experience as a Mathematics Tutor. Throughout my tutoring experience, I have helped students understand challenging mathematical concepts by presenting them in a simple, clear, and approachable way.

I believe that every student can learn mathematics with the right guidance, patience, and learning approach. Rather than focusing only on memorizing formulas, I help students understand the concepts behind each solution so they can solve problems independently and confidently.

What sets me apart to others, is the combination of my 5 years of tutoring experience and professional background as a Civil Engineer. My engineering education has strengthened my analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills, which I bring into every lesson.

I am patient, approachable, and committed to creating a learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. I do not simply give students the answer—I guide them through the process so they learn how to think, analyze, and solve problems on their own.

My goal is to help students not only improve their grades but also develop confidence, critical thinking, and a stronger foundation in mathematics.

About the lesson

As a Mathematics tutor with 5 years of teaching experience and a background as a Licensed Civil Engineer, my approach is centered on making mathematics simple, practical, and understandable. I believe that students learn best when they understand not only how to solve a problem, but also why a particular method works.

I use a student-centered and personalized approach. I adjust my teaching style according to the student's level, learning pace, and specific difficulties. My lessons commonly include:

- Breaking complex problems into simple, manageable steps
- Explaining concepts using clear and relatable examples
- Using visual explanations, formulas, diagrams, and step-by-step solutions
- Connecting mathematical concepts to real-life and engineering applications
- Providing guided practice before allowing students to solve independently

- Giving practice exercises to strengthen understanding and confidence
- Encouraging students to ask questions and actively participate

My goal is not simply to help students memorize formulas, but to develop their logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and confidence in mathematics.
