About Ella
I am a student, I have previously tutored students in 11+ all of whom attained places at grammar schools, this is something I would be happy to do again. I also study biology, chemistry, physics and Spanish at a level. So I would be happy to tutor in any of those GCSEs, but not A level as I haven’t yet finished my course!

65% of the population are visual learners so I like to include lots of visual ways to learn in my lesson ie. diagrams and animations. I also like to set a student past exam questions as this is essential to understanding the mechanics of an exam. I also like to practice active recall with my students which is a type of learning where I ask a student to explain something to me and correct them if they go wrong. I also practice spaced repetition with my students, this is where you go over a topic from the previous lesson so that it gets into your long term memory. However, when I first meet a student I will do an assessment of the way they learn best and encorporate that into my teaching.
