About David
I hold a Ph.D. in Comparative History from Brandeis University. I have taught History to college students at Boston-area colleges and universities including Boston College and the University of Massachusetts/Boston. I have written three books on military history.

My teaching approach is to engage students in discussions of critical issues. I challenge students to examine both sides of an issue. Regarding historical controversies, I ask students to choose a position and defend it. Which position they choose is less important than their ability to support their choice.
