About Aqsa
Hi, I’m Aqsa, a self-taught artist and watercolor instructor with a passion for making art simple, enjoyable, and accessible to everyone.
I started painting at a young age and have developed my skills through years of consistent practice, experimentation, and learning. Over time, painting became more than just a hobby for me it became something I genuinely love sharing with others.
I specialize in beginner-friendly watercolor painting and focus on teaching students in a simple, patient, and encouraging way. I believe you don't need to be naturally “artistic” to learn how to paint. With the right techniques, guidance, and practice, anyone can improve.
My classes are interactive and practical, with live demonstrations, step-by-step guidance, and plenty of opportunities to ask questions. I adapt my teaching according to each student's experience and comfort level.
Whether you're completely new to watercolor or looking to strengthen your basics, my goal is to help you build confidence, enjoy the creative process, and create paintings that you're proud of.

Hi, I’m Aqsa, a self-taught artist and watercolor instructor who believes that anyone can learn to paint with the right guidance and practice. My classes are designed to make watercolor painting simple, enjoyable, and approachable, especially for complete beginners.
I teach through a step-by-step, practical approach rather than just explaining techniques. I demonstrate each technique live, explain why and when to use it, and then guide students as they practice it themselves. I focus on fundamentals such as color theory, color mixing, water control, blending, wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry techniques, layering, and creating depth.
Usual Class Structure
Each class is around 60 minutes and generally follows this structure:
* A short introduction to the technique or concept being taught
* A live demonstration with clear, step-by-step explanations
* Guided practice where students paint along with me
* Individual guidance and corrections throughout the class
* A completed painting or practical exercise by the end of the session
* Time for questions and feedback
My goal is for students to understand why a technique works, rather than simply copying what I do.
What Makes My Classes Different
As a self-taught artist, I understand how confusing watercolor can feel when you're learning on your own. I try to explain things in a simple and easy-to-understand way, without assuming that students already know artistic terminology or techniques.
I also keep my classes interactive and encourage students to ask questions throughout the lesson. My focus is not perfection but helping students build confidence, develop their own style, and genuinely enjoy painting.
Who Are My Classes For?
My classes are primarily intended for beginners, teenagers, college students, and adults who want to learn watercolor painting from scratch or improve their existing skills.
No previous painting experience is required. Whether you have never picked up a watercolor brush before or already know the basics and want to become more confident, I adapt my teaching according to the student's level and pace.
My aim is simple: to help you go from “I don't think I can paint” to creating a painting you're genuinely proud of.
