I'm a senior school student, and I've been playing guitar since 4 years now, I am totally self taught and getting to know more and more amazing things about music has been really nice. Knowing how to read tabs is something important as the mordernising music prefers tabs and you can find the tabs for almost any song, piece, cover or arrangement.
Learning the absolute basics with proper guidance enables you to further learn the things you actually want to, on your own.
The basics for, acoustic, classical and flamenco are almost the same.
