About Mohammadreza

I’m a PhD student at the University of Guelph, where I design deep-learning pipelines that merge classic computer-vision wisdom with modern image-processing to tackle some of medicine’s hardest imaging challenges. I’ve served as a Teaching Assistant in Canada and internationally, teaching courses like circuits, systems & controls, linear algebra, and engineering mathematics. My approach is clear, patient, and tailored to each student, focusing on building deep understanding, problem-solving confidence, and strong exam performance. Right now, I’m building federated adversarial learning systems for brain-tumor segmentation — teaching models to learn from MRI scans across multiple hospitals without moving the data, all while defending against privacy attacks and domain shifts. This work keeps me thinking deeply about secure data engineering, distributed optimization, and what it really means for a model to generalize. Before diving into AI, I spent six years immersed in advanced control engineering — stabilizing nonlinear and multi-agent systems with fractional calculus, optimization, and stability theory. That mathematical training is now my secret weapon for making today’s data-driven models more robust and explainable. At heart, I’m drawn to projects that balance rigorous theory with real-world impact — from privacy-preserving machine learning to medical AI that translates clever mathematics into better healthcare. And when I teach, I bring this same philosophy: clarity, depth, and impact — making every lesson not just about passing exams, but about unlocking real understanding and practical problem-solving.
