Miss Elizaveta picked me up halfway throughout my art gcse journey. At that time I was predicted a 5. Throughout my lessons with her I learnt not just techniques, artists, compositions and skills, but the way to train my senses. Not many beginning artists understand the eye and hand it takes to create. Elizaveta taught me how to sense tones, correct compositions, and have a feel in general for how to paint, sketch and trust a learning process. She instilled the ability to begin and continue a piece of art even when she wasn’t there. The skills I’ve acquired from lessons were so much implemented in not only art GCSE but also in school across all subjects, the ability to see critically and approach a question creatively allowed all my grades to increase by 2-4. In the end, I received a grade 9 in art gcse and overall much better scores than I was predicted. I am so thankful for the life skills I learnt through art and for the wonderful teacher, Elizaveta, that made this happen.
