About Robert

Having completed the CELTA certification in 2015, I started working as a teacher in August of that year with students between the ages of 15 and 17 years old who came from Japan and Hong Kong on study tours. After that, the school offered me a position as a general English teacher for adults.

I have taught more than 100 students in general English classes between levels A1 and C2.

My best student succeeded in working as a physiotherapist in Australia after passing professional English exams! (IELTS and Occupational English Test)

BONUS: I can advise you on how to move to Australia or other English speaking countries.

About the lesson

I am a CELTA (Cambridge English Language Teaching to Adults) certified English teacher and use CELTA methodology to plan and manage lessons.

Up until now, my experience as a teacher comes from working at an English school in Sydney, Australia.

I am interested in providing private lessons customised for individual students or groups. I've spent the past 9 years learning Spanish and, since I now live in Barcelona, have begun with Catalan. Because of this experience, I understand what it's like to learn another language. It can be difficult or worse - boring! That's why it's important that we find topics that encourage you.

More specifically, my studies have helped me to understand the differences between these languages that lead to common difficulties (pronunciation, grammar) for people with Spanish or Catalan as their mother tongue.

I use conversation, videos, books, music and a variety of materials to teach and can assist
