About Rafael

Rafael is a native English and Spanish speaker and is a student of Italian, French, and Portuguese. He has 3 years experience of teaching ESL online as a TESOL-certified teacher, as well as 10+ years teaching Spanish, English, and writing. Rafael is flexible and can adapt lessons to students from 2 years old through 18+ in basic, intermediate, advanced, and professional English/Spanish.

As a student of languages himself, Rafael understands the challenges and excitement that learning a new language can bring. He hopes to help students break through those challenges and share the joy of learning a new language with all of his students. Rafael teaches with lots of energy, making sure lessons are interactive and filled with real-world extensions.

When not teaching, Rafael enjoys spending time with his family, going to the beach, and watching films and TV series from across the globe.

About the lesson

Are you ready for a lesson that's actually fun? Rafael is ready to teach English to early beginners through song, play, live interaction, and lots of laughs.

Rafael teaches 1-on-1 and up to 4 students at a time from the comfort of your home! Your child will learn English through games, songs, jokes, interactive props, and other fun and creative lesson aides.

This is a 30 min beginner/intermediate class. Each lesson consists of a few minutes of introduction and extension to help your child practice communicating thoughts about their everyday life, a planned lesson, and requested additional help.

Rafael has over 13 years of experience teaching students ages 2-18+. He enjoys getting to know each child and their learning needs and styles, which is why she prefers smaller, intimate classes so that each child feels included.

Though a native English and Spanish speaker, Rafael is a student of other languages himself. He understands the challenges that learning a new language can bring. Yet, he also knows how exciting and rewarding mastering a different language is, too!
