About Mackenzie
Hi! I'm Mackenzie, a junior in college with a strong passion for STEM and a goal of becoming a pharmaceutical researcher. I’m currently working in a research lab where I study and quantify antibiotic-resistant genes, which has deepened my passion in science and its impact.
I’ve always enjoyed helping others learn, which is why I’m excited to start tutoring. I have experience tutoring in high school and even teaching tennis to children, where I discovered my ability to explain concepts clearly and adapt to different learning styles.
I’m confident in my ability to tailor sessions to each student—whether that means breaking down difficult concepts, developing effective study habits, or building confidence in the subject. My goal is not just to help students succeed, but to help them truly understand and enjoy what they’re learning.

I’m a junior pursuing pharmaceutical research, currently working in a lab studying antibiotic-resistant genes, and I tutor biology and chemistry from middle school through early college (including AP Biology). I focus on explaining concepts visually with diagrams and step-by-step breakdowns to make complex topics easier to understand. I tailor each session to the student’s needs and prioritize building a strong foundation while adapting to their individual learning style. I’m based in the South Lyon, MI area and work with students both in foundational and advanced coursework. For biology, middle school to higher college level courses, and for chemistry, middle school to early college.
